**Who** **we are**:
The Long-Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Model of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes. Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family.
While you won't be providing direct resident care, you will report to the Advisor, Dementia Care on this special project and oversee the development and delivery of emotion-focused dementia care training to pilot groups in Peel Regional Paramedic Services and Peel Regional Police
**What you will do in the role**:
- Oversee and provides guidance on this project for the development and maintenance of emotion-focused dementia training and education to Paramedics and Peel Police
- Conduct audits of eLearning and education materials
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Provide updates and collaborate with Leadership teams and other stakeholders to identify current and future education needs
- Researche and makes recommendations related to innovative approaches to emotion-focused dementia care, education and learning
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to share information, identify challenges and opportunities and implement improvements to education program
- Coordinate staff training and education initiatives with stakeholders/partners
- Oversee training hours and monitor training budget to ensure allocated training hours are within budget
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that training content is in accordance with administrative policies and procedures Accreditation Standards, Regulated Health Professional Colleges, Standards of Practice and other applicable legislation to maintain and enhance competency of training participants
- Collaborate with external partner on the development of customized education content and eLearning modules including sourcing content, developing and programming software modules, facilitation and delivery
- Develops materials, procedures and tools for supporting the spread of training beyond participant groups
**What the role requires**
- Successful completion of a post-secondary school diploma specializing in a health or science field, plus a minimum of two years relevant experience
- An equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered
- Advanced Computer Skills including MS Office and Electronic Information Management
- Experience with eLearning software
- Previous experience or involvement in providing simple training and coaching to staff
- Ability to travel to the various locations within the Region of Peel

**Nice to have”**
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse
- Adult learning certification or experience with development and facilitation of adult learning

- **Work Mode & Job Location**:
In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at 10 Peel Centre Drive_, _Brampton worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
