Description
The role of a Christmas administrative assistant is to assist in all aspects of the Christmas Campaign.
**Hours**:
20 hours per week. Varied schedule.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Performs general office duties such as filing, photocopying and reception responsibilities
Performs various bookkeeping duties such as receipting and deposits
Maintains Kettle Preparation (ensuring kettle kits are stocked and ready)
Maintains the Kettle Counting Process, ensuring supplies are ready and needs are addressed
Maintains databases as needed, including data entry
Handles and ensures the protection of extremely confidential and sensitive employee/Officer, client and or program files and information
Represents the Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner
Performs other duties as assigned
**Note**: Not all incumbents perform all of the duties described above but perform a similar range of duties.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education/Certifications**:
The successful job applicant will have completed High School
**Required Skills/Knowledge**:
To be willing to adapt to changes and interruptions in your normal work routine
The ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to information relating to employment
A willingness to work with individuals or groups of differing backgrounds and cultures other than your own
A willingness to adhere to a dress code of neatness and cleanliness
An understanding of and support for the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army in Canada
Must have basic computer knowledge and word processing skills
Must be a self-motivated multi-tasker who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
