**ABOUT PROJECT H.O.P.E**: The Project H.O.P.E (Housing Outreach Peer Empowerment) team works with people in our community who have experienced homelessness, are currently homeless or are at risk of homelessness, while also experiencing mental wellness issues. People may self-refer or may be referred by community partners.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:As a member of the CMHA- Nova Scotia Division Leadership team, Project H.O.P.E (Housing Outreach and Peer Empowerment) Provincial LEAD is a champion for mental health and quality of life for all Nova Scotians. In collaboration with community partners and the Project HOPE staff, the Provincial LEAD will lead and provide mentorship to Project staff towards the provision of mental health, trauma-informed client centric supports and flexible services for those who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. They will also be responsible to lead the engagement of community partners in support of client’s integration into the community. The Project HOPE LEAD will facilitate resilience-based capacity development knowledge and skills among CMHA NS staff, community partners, government and non-government stakeholders and service providers to maximize the client’s independence and quality of life outcomes. As a member of the CMHA-NS Leadership team, the Project HOPE Lead will also be responsible for supporting the overall strategic direction of the organization.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Provincial Strategic and Operational Leadership: 50%**
- The efficient and successful operations of Project HOPE and its supportive services and supports
- Active contribution to CMHA and Project HOPE’s vision, strategic goals, objectives, project core actions, deliverables, and outcomes
- Leading day-to-day Project HOPE operations
- Leading, guiding and mentoring Project HOPE staff through demonstrating positive team engagement and active team culture of trust, transparency and collaboration
- Compliance to terms and conditions of grant funding guidelines, deliverable and outlines
- Submission of project reports, data monitoring and financial expense oversight and submission of financial staff and project financial paperwork
- In collaboration with the CMHA NS ED, lead the advancement of healthy community supportive housing policies
- Develop quarterly roadmap (30-60-90)
- Along with CMHA-NS Leadership Team - contribute to building team culture across the organization and across the province

**Partnership Development: 25%**
- Develop and maintain collaborative and supportive provincial and community partnerships
- Lead supportive community housing stakeholder and partner engagements
- Lead community housing support needs’ awareness and knowledge development and growth among all stakeholder and partnership sectors
- Actively develop strategic community partnerships to ensure best and most appropriate care for clients at risk
- Leadership role in Homeless No More, Valley Roots, Coordinated Access Committee, Poverty Reduction Coalition and well as provincial and municipal ad hoc committees etc.

**People Development 25%**
- On-going staff capacity (knowledge and skill) development positive client relationship and case management supportive services
- Mentor and guide staff toward optimal clients’ growth and personal and professional life-skills development
- Onboarding of new staff
- Mentor staff to support successful attainment of project goals/objectives/deliverables
- Oversight of HR administrative functions - performance planning, staff coverage, time tracking, vacation
