Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, established in 1903, is a renowned private yacht club located in the heart of Vancouver, BC. With a rich history and a commitment to excellence, the Club offers world-class dining experiences, outstanding recreational facilities, and a vibrant social atmosphere. Our culinary team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable moments through exquisite food and delightful presentations.
**What You'll Do**:
- Daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
- Setup station and restock items according to restaurant guidelines.
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Serve food in the proper portion size and at the proper temperature.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow-up and prevention.
- Maintaining food quality and safety standards

**What We're Looking For**:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; professional diploma in culinary arts or food services is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in a **fine-dining or private club** environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering procedures, trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Superior time management skills, attention to detail, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
