Jaku Konbit seeks a **Summer Camp Manager **tooversee all aspects of the summer camp in a dynamic and rapidly shifting, community-based program. The objective of the position is to ensure deliverableto the Board of Directors which is two-fold: the development and implementation of an engaging program that is sustainable, educational and cultural for all participants and to provide first-time employment for youth that is meaningful and offers productive work experiences.

The role involves overseeing, managing, and coordinating all activities at the camp. This position calls for strong leadership, excellent communication skills, creativity, high energy, and the ability to work strategically to achieve the organization's goals. The ideal camp manager is a highly organized self-starter with experience working or volunteering with children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, previous supervisory experience, and enthusiasm for joining an association that unites and serves the Ottawa community through its many programs.
- Curriculum delivery_
- deliver a dynamic camp program for kids aged 6-12
- develop weekly programming and daily activity schedules
- plan, develop, implement, execute, conclude and evaluate
- Human resources_
- supervise and provide guidance to camp counselors
- create weekly work schedules
- Administration _
- ensure registration paperwork is received and fully completed
- maintain a current database and an organized filing system
- correspond orally and in writing with families, Jaku Konbit

- remit respective paperwork to ensure counsellor are paid

- ensure safety is a top priority for campers and counsellor

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: In person
