**SUMMARY**
Prenco. is a family business that has been operating in Canadian manufacturing for over 80 years. It is a safe and positive work environment with skilled individuals.
We are currently looking for a bookkeeper to join our team who will establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for full cycle accounting duties that include customer billing and vendor invoicing, month end, yearend, accrual & adjusting entries, GL account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, foreign currency revaluation, government filings
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
**Accounts Receivable**: Manage full cycle AR for North American and International vendors
Prepare monthly statement
Engage with customers and build relationships
Follow up on aged receivables for collections
Posting payments to customer accounts
**Accounts Payable**: Manage full cycle AP for North American and International vendors
Verify and post invoices, comparing packing slips and purchase orders to invoices
Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company
Scanning, maintaining electronic filing cabinet
Preparing and posting expense reports and visa statement
**Payments**: Preparing wires for US vendors and EFT for Canadian vendors Ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy. Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company
**Bank Reconciliations**:Performing bank reconciliations for multiple divisions
**Maintain general ledgers** Prepare GL account reconciliations for multiple divisions
**Month End**:Perform monthly accounting close out and reporting activities in timely and accurate manner
**Year End**: Preparation of year end for tax purposes, provide support documentation needed for audit
**Government Remittance**: HST, EHT, WSIB,
**Foreign Currency Revaluation**: Manage foreign exchange transactions
**Business Support**:Provide continuity and transparency to multiple internal teams. Initiate policies and controls that enhance our current business plan.
**Other duties as assigned.**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Completion of a University Degree or College Diploma with a concentration in accounting, or related discipline
3 to 5 years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment in Canada
Enthusiastic interpersonal skills
Professional communication with customers, vendors, and external stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication
Creative problem-solving skills, needs driven curiosity
Collaborate with a dedicated team
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Skilled in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong computer skills. Knowledge Microsoft D365 a bonus
Ability to research and interpret financial data
