**Who Are You?**
As a Controller with Shift Financial Insights, you will work with various clients as the leader of their accounting department. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be an essential component in contributing to our client experience and optimizing our controllership processes using innovation to streamline methods. You will find true success with Shift Financial Insights by being passionate about your work, engaging with your assigned bookkeepers, collaborating with accounting professionals, and using kindness and humor to foster strong relationships with our clients.
**A Day in the Life**
- Create and present Insights Packages, highlighting the key levers your clients need to focus on and sharing the “so what” behind the numbers.
- Oversee the bookkeeping function for your designated clients and provide direction and guidance to your designated bookkeeper.
- Lead the budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes for each client.
- Collaborate with other Shift Controllers for shared learning and to identify, discuss, and solve issues as they arise.
- Actively engage in Zoom meetings and Slack channels to foster learning opportunities, resolve process issues, or establish an action plan for a client.
- Embrace constructive feedback to enhance your processes and skillset.
- Act as a continuous learner with a willingness to embrace innovative technologies that streamline, automate, and optimize accounting functions.
**What You Bring to the Table**
- 3 to 5 years owning your role as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller in North America.
- Proven history of successfully working with a diverse clientele in various industries, such as white-collar, blue-collar, and start-ups.
- A client-centric and solutions-driven mindset that resolves complex accounting solutions and exceeds client expectations.
- A strategic contributor that employs enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive clients’ financial success.
- An exceptional verbal and written communicator that collaborates with clients and controllers to deliver high-quality controller solutions.
**Nice to Haves**
- Exposure to QuickBooks Online or Desktop, SmartSheets, Dext, and Plooto is considered an asset.
