- Job SummaryThe Graduate Secretary and provides secretarial assistance to the Department’s Graduate Adviser. Working closely with Graduate Admissions and Records, the Graduate Secretary handles all work related to graduate students and their programs.

This position provides graduate and clerical support to the Administrative Officer, Chair of English, and Graduate Advisor/Graduate Committee. Responsibilities and key duties include:

- Assisting the Graduate Advisor with graduate admissions and the ongoing management of graduate programing.
- Assisting with the management of student funding: graduate TA budget, awards, fellowships, and SSHRC distribution, Graduate Course scheduling.
- Regularly update department graduate policy and website.
- Job RequirementsThis position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to 2 years of experience working within a comparable environment.

**Specialized Knowledge/Education**:
Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Some related post-secondary course work would be considered an asset.
