**Tridon Communications is growing, and we are looking to add a Part-Time, 20 - 25hrs per week, Video Surveillance Operator to our Edmonton team. If you have experience working in video surveillance and monitoring; we are looking for you**

**Job Summary**:
The Video Surveillance Operator will undertake remote video surveillance of our client’s property for the protection of their premises and assets. You will be responsible for utilizing our technology systems in real-time, detecting any suspicious activities to prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior.

**What you Bring**:

- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years experience in video monitoring systems or equivalent on-job experience
- Remote experience a definite asset
- Knowledge of VMS systems such as Avigilon would be an asset.
- Knowledge of products and services offered by Tridon Communications
- Proficiency with computer based Video Surveillance Management Software
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and computer databases
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work overnight, early mornings, evenings and weekends to support 24/7 monitoring operations
- Ability to utilize computer software systems at a high rate of speed
- Fast paced visual analysis and decision-making skills
- Effective listening and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, and in a team
- Ability to problem solve and makes decisions

**What you will Do**:

- Remotely monitor customer premises/equipment/work site to prevent losses and damage
- Dispatch audio/access signals to establish response required by customer
- Accurate and timely dispatching of calls to proper emergency contacts (911, client’s requested emergency contacts)
- Conduct regular remote worksite inspections to identify any irregularities, uphold order, and enforce regulations for the site in regard to the premises, personnel, and visitors
- Verify VMS equipment operation daily, monitor system and equipment controls, and notify management of any issues, or concerns with equipment or system operations
- Document the alarms and solutions (steps taken) in the client’s database
- Data entry including customer account maintenance
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards
- Provide excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned

**Physical Demands**:
The Video Surveillance Operator must be able to spend 95% of the day sitting, and 5% standing. The incumbent will also be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time. There is a possibility of eye and/or joint strain related to operating computer equipment.
