Langley, Canada Marcon Full time

**About Us**

Many people (and a few pets) will spend their lives in a Marcon home, so we have to build it right, every time. Marcon is an established and trusted name in the construction community. If a project needs building, we can do it. Low-rises, high-rises, townhomes, retail centres, industrial parks—we have built them all. Marcon is an established real estate developer and builder, managing our own projects from conception through to execution and completion. Our achievements are not possible without a hardworking team, working together, to make it all happen. That’s why we’re looking for people who are eager to join an intelligent and motivated team to create something bigger than themselves and build communities that will impact a neighborhood in infinite ways.

**About the Role**

The BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and management of construction projects using BIM technologies. This position is responsible for the development, integration, and management of building information models to facilitate a seamless and efficient construction process, from design through to completion. The BIM Coordinator at Marcon works directly with the development team and design consultants to enable a collaborative and coordinated project design.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform Design coordination reviews and assist in identifying constructability issues with the project team and subcontractors.
- Responsible for model uploads and updates for assigned projects.
- Assist training project staff and subcontractors on VDC/BIM related software and workflows as required.
- Coordinate and manage the use of BIM software and tools across various stages of construction projects.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of BIM data.
- Facilitate the timely and orderly collection and/or coordination of all consultant BIM models.
- Lead model coordination meetings.
- Assist in the administration of the BIM Execution Plan as prescribed by either the Consultant or Client.
- Ensure project-specific BIM implementation plans, standards, and protocols are being followed and updated as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders through the management of BIM models.
- Review BIM models for quality control, compliance with project standards, and integration of interdisciplinary models.
- Run clash detection on consultant models and assist in the resolution processes, and the coordination of design changes

**About You**
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
- Completion of Construction Management Certificate Program or equivalent an asset.
- Experience working with VDC/BIM related software, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360). Procore experience is a benefit.
- Revit experience including dynamo script and family creation.

- Construction knowledge and/or related work experience an asset.
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to exercise discretion, judgment, and work with a degree of autonomy.
- Highly motivated individual who embraces initiative and is results oriented.
