Our team is growing and we are looking for a talented line & prep cook to join our kitchen team. Darling focuses on local ingredient-driven, globally inspired dishes, showcasing the best of the season.

The position of line cook consists of managing the daily preparation of food items in a kitchen along with cooking and plating all dishes in an efficient, and thoughtful manner.
- The line cook is expected to support the head chef and sous chef in executing Darling’s menu and cleanliness of the kitchen. This will entail prepping, plating, cleaning and the option of menu features.
- Preparing and executing all menu items.
- Ensuring that all food and product is consistently prepared and served as per the

restaurant recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Prepare a prep list and organize stations for each shift
- Maintaining high morale, responding to conflicts calmly and efficiently
- Provide support to coworkers with various tasks including cooking, preparation and plating when time permits.
- Maintain holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met.
- Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
- Assist head chef and sous chef by making specials or staff meals when time permits.
- Looking for ways to reduce spoilage.
- Receiving orders and products, ensuring to check quantity and quality.
- Ensuring that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventive maintenance programs.

- Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow-up and prevention.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Line Cook: 2 years (required)
- Food preparation: 2 years (required)
- Baking: 1 year (preferred)
