**Our Firm has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Controller. This dynamic role allows for a split between remote and in-office work after a training period.**

Reporting to the Firm Controller, you will be responsible for:

- Monthly financial reporting for the Firm;
- Compiling financial and other information for monthly reporting;
- Overseeing accounts payable (A/P), payroll functions, and banking functions;
- Ongoing documentation of internal financial reporting procedures;
- Learning and maintaining current knowledge of payroll preparation and process;
- Providing backup or support to payroll functions as required;
- Keeping current with time management and billing software;
- Coaching and developing assigned indirect reports on the Finance team;
- Actively participating in special projects, committees, and/or task forces as required;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Graduate of a University Accounting Program, or equivalent;
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation preferred;
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in public practice, industry, or a combination of both;
- Familiarity with time management systems, such as ProSystem fx Practice Management;
- Experience with Accpac/Sage, Caseware/Caseview, an asset;
- Experience using Microsoft Suite, strongly skilled with Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Well-developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- The capacity to learn quickly and work with a high degree of discretion;
- Solid administrative, organizational, and computer skills.
