**CONTRACT TERM**: 26 Weeks **START DATE**: ASAP **END DATE**: Initial term approved to the Province of Ontario’s current fiscal year end, March 31, 2023. Additional weeks, ending after 26 weeks in total, is pending the approval of the Ottawa Festival Network (OFN) fiscal year (2023-2024) JCP program agreement with the Province of Ontario.

**WORK LOCATION**: Hybrid: Home and Downtown

**JOB SUMMARY**: Reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager. Assists with the implementation of Ottawa Chamberfest’s 2023 Festival Communications plan with a focus on website and social media.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Research, collect, collate, edit, and track Festival artist marketing material (biographies, photos, videos etc) in collaboration with Artistic team;
- Assist in the planning and creation of dynamic written, graphic, and video content for Chamberfest’s social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms;
- Contribute to and distribute e-newsletters to Chamberfest patrons;
- Assist in the creation and building of event and artist pages for Wordpress website;
- Create content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation including Facebook events;
- Additional duties as required.

**SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication including proof-reading and editing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience with Wordpress, MailChimp, and Adobe Creative Suites (In Design & Photoshop) an asset
- Enthusiasm for the organization, the artists, the event, and the patrons

**ADDITIONAL QUALFICIATIONS REQUIRED**:
Eligible to participate in Ontario’s Job Creation Partnership (JCP) program by meeting the following criteria:
An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week (part-time students and graduates may apply)

Live in Ontario

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Have one, or both, of the following criteria:
Established an Employment Insurance (EI) benefit claim (regular or maternity/parental benefits ONLY)

Paid employee payroll premiums, i.e., employed in Canada, in **five** of any five of the last ten years while earning an annual income of at least $2000 (gross).

**REMUNERATION**:
$620 (gross) per week for 32 hours ($19.375 average per hour) provided by the Province of Ontario.

**Salary**: $19.38 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
