Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. **What will I be doing?**
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing big data.
- Build, develop and maintain relevant data models, reporting systems, automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions across the business.
- Support post-execution evaluation of strategic initiatives through data sourcing, manipulation, analysis, reporting and presentations.
- Accountable to amalgamate, process, analyze and extrapolate a large amount of complex data from multiple sources (internal and external databases) to produce operational performance reports.
- Partner to develop and maintain dynamic scorecards, extending to proactively providing big data-driven recommendations to improve content strategy resulting in a positive impact to KPIs.
- Champion BI capabilities and create advocacy for the Workforce Planning team to our business partners and senior management.
- Collaborating and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to gather qualitative and quantitative data needed for solid decision-making.
- Designing and developing standardized reporting to allow business stakeholders to make informed business decisions.
- Adopting best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation while maintaining and managing data quality in various data repositories.
- Identify, create and maintain documentation for all reporting processes and procedures. (e.g. standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows.

**What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?**
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum 4 years related work experience in analytics, business intelligence and/or data warehousing, and solving complex quantitative business challenges.
- Knowledge of Azure, PowerBi, SQL Server & Databases and tools would be considered a strong asset.
- Understanding of workforce planning practices and contact center technology would be an asset.
- Expert skills in MS Excel and familiarity with analytical tools (i.e. Power Pivot etc.)
