Position: Import Ocean Coordinator+ Sales
Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
**Import Ocean **Coordinator**:
1. Coordinate and manage incoming ocean freight shipments, ensuring efficient handling from origin to destination.
2. Collaborate with carriers, warehouse, truckers and other service provider to monitor shipment status, address any issues, and ensure timely delivery of cargo.
3. Handle documentation, customs clearance, and other necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
4. Proactively identify potential delays or challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain cargo flow.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics processes and streamline operations.
**Sales**:
1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the company's customer base and meet sales targets.
2. Identify and approach potential clients in the logistics industry to showcase EWC's services and value proposition.
3. Conduct weekly client visits to establish and nurture strong business relationships.
4. Understand clients' unique logistics requirements and offer tailored solutions to meet their needs effectively.
5. Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information and excellent customer service.
6. Collaborate with the sales team and management to implement sales strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in import ocean operations, freight forwarding, or related logistics functions.
3. Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members.
5. Sales experience in the logistics industry is a plus, with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
6. Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and deliver results under pressure.
7. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for logistics operations and sales activities.
Sales with the ability to drive and own a car will be preferred for this role. The position involves visiting potential clients on a weekly basis to maintain strong relationships and promote the company's services. Having a car and being able to drive will provide the sales professional with the flexibility and convenience to travel to client locations and attend meetings efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications (added to the previous list):
- Possess a valid driver's license and own a car for business use.
- Willingness to travel locally for client visits and business-related activities.
Having a personal vehicle will enable the sales representative to cover a broader geographic area, reach out to a larger client base, and respond promptly to customer needs. However, it's important to clarify whether the role requires occasional travel or regular visits to clients in various locations, as this will determine the extent to which having a car is essential.
