**ROLE**

Reporting to and working with the Global Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, the role of the Global Security Program Manager is to plan, run, and deliver projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes resource planning and coordination across multiple team members, including Business Technology project managers, and third-party contractors. The Global Security Program Manager will define project objectives and oversee the quality of all deliverables throughout project life cycles. The Global Security Program Manager will work closely with the Global PMO Manager for Business Technology and must ensure that project initiation, administration and tracking is conducted in line with the Global PMO processes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Strategy and planning**
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and track project tasks/milestones using appropriate tools.
- Effectively analyze and report on project status.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of the investment.
- Confidently remediate at risk or underperforming projects in collaboration with project teams.
- Define project success criteria and communicate success criteria throughout the project life cycle.
- Conduct lessons learned and produce recommendations for future projects.
- Contribute to the development of the Global Business Technology PMO's best practices and tools for project management.
- Estimate resources to achieve project goals.
- Negotiate resource commitments within a project with the resources' functional lead.
- Make recommendations for recruiting project resources where internal resources and skillsets are not available.
- Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve conflicts within a project team.
- Build and nurture business relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate internal project resources and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

**SKILLS & COMPETENCIES**

**Technical Skills**
- Experience managing projects that deliver organizational change.
- Good understanding of standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001 processes and procedures).
- Demonstrable experience in managing effective relationships with third party suppliers.
- Technical awareness of security challenges and focus areas in relation to project design and documentation.

**Personal Skills and Attributes**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English required and proficiency in a second language is an asset.
- Ideally 5-years or more experience in Program or Project Management.
- A good team player with a positive attitude.
- Excellent customer/client facing skills.
- Able to effectively negotiate with and influence colleagues and others to achieve a successful outcome.
- Has strong problem solving and analytical skills; can clearly present issues to others and contribute to their resolution.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to be proactive.
- Has commercial awareness and understands the business value of security and technology investments.
- Able to make decisions and remain calm under pressure.
- Has methodical approach to documentation with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and quality.
- Able to work under pressure.
- **Education and Certifications**
- Formal qualifications or accreditations considered an asset (e.g. Agile, PMI, Prince 2).
- Knowledge and experience with security frameworks considered an asset (e.g. ISO, NIST, CIS, MITRE)
