Job Title: Wellness Lead

Department: Wellness

Reports To: Store Manager, Category Manager - Wellness, Assistant Category Manager
- Wellness

Direct Reports: Wellness Advisors, Customer Service Associates

Working Conditions: Retail Store environment where work and events can be

varied or unpredictable; mainly standing/walking/lifting; offering service to the public.

Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the store manager, the Wellness Lead role is to provide leadership

and manage team culture in the wellness department that aligns with Amaranth's values.

This position also supports store sales results, expense management, shrink reduction and

damages by overseeing the daily operations of the Wellness Department. Accountabilities

include: lead, manage and hold accountable; customer experience; and support to the store

manager.

Under the direction of the Category Manager - Wellness, the Wellness Lead is to

provide support to the Category Manager - Wellness, reduce out of stock, tag accuracy,

and maintain accurate inventory.

All Health First training and quizzes are to be completed and up to date continuously.

Time Requirements:

- Full-time hourly position, working on average over 30 hours per week.
- Employees are entitled to a 30 minute scheduled unpaid meal break for all

shifts longer than 5 consecutive hours.
- Must have a flexible working availability - willing to work days, evenings, and

weekends and assist with shift coverage as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Teamwork
- Proactively engage customers to ensure unparalleled customer service ensuring we do

everything we can to bring better health to our customers.
- Act as a role model to team members on how to deliver a positive customer service

experience going above and beyond, one customer at a time.
- Respond to customer questions and provide assistance or when necessary employ the

appropriate department representative to provide assistance.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, share product knowledge and take customers to

the location of products directly.
- Efficiently and accurately process customer transactions through the use of applicable

POS functions and carry-out customer purchases.
- Ensure new products and samples are delivered to the Category Manager - Wellness.
- Communicate regularly with the Category Manager - Wellness by passing on new

product requests, notes, team mentoring and best practices.

Wellness
- Assist and direct Wellness team members to ensure smooth and efficient department

operation and communicate operational information to team members as needed.
- Assist and review Wellness reports as per the weekly and monthly reporting

schedule.
- Complete incoming and outgoing transfers to and from other stores in a timely

manner.
- Working with the Wellness Buyer, Category Manager - Wellness, and Marketing

team to ensure end caps are well stocked and changed over promptly for sales and

promotion, and ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Work with Store Manager to optimize the department’s labour resources to

create optimal staffing levels based on forecasted sales targets.
- Respond to customer questions and provide knowledge and direction regarding

the supplement and personal care product selection using industry knowledge,

training, vendor catalogs, and the internet.
