Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a Commercial Account Assistant in Trade Credit to join our Team This role is reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations. The Commercial Account Assistant is part of a team responsible for providing administrative support on new and renewal accounts in partnership with the Commercial Account Representatives to ensure client retention and timely customer service. You love the idea of working in a dynamic and fast paced** **environment You’re a people person who enjoys building long-lasting relationships with insurance carriers, industry leaders and your colleagues. You are detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills that will enable you to put together solid solutions for our clients.

**What you will do**:

- Work closely with the team to provide support on renewals, new business, billing, temporary limits, market submissions and other administrative duties, as assigned
- Support billing transactions and preparing agency bill invoices
- Assist with Pre-Renewal preparation and report gathering
- Update tracking reports, review, and update carrier portal with year-to-date sales, premium, claims and overdue balances
- Follow-up with policy holders and insurance carriers
- Support with updating documentation in the Broker Management System (EPIC)
- Prioritize work received from Commercial Account Representatives, based on request type

**What you will bring**:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent insurance experience
- RIBO license or ability to obtain
- Experience in Credit Insurance is an asset
- Proficiency in English and French (both written and verbal communication) is a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Customer-centric, friendly and professional attitude
- Exceptional organization skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills while demonstrating a responsive customer approach
- Previous experience with a Broker Management System (EPIC) would be an asset
- CIP, CAIB, CRM (or working towards designation) would be an asset
