Job Summary
Skills & Abilities
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a leadership in digital health (and/or relevant clinical operational leadership in highly technical fields, such as Diagnostic Imaging) within the hospital sector
- Expert understanding of the current digital health space in Ontario, including Ministry priorities and common hospital challenges
- Demonstrated track record of success in providing executive leadership to the implementation of digital health initiatives in a complex healthcare organization
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams
- Deep knowledge of emerging digital health technologies, trends, threats and best practices
- Superior customer service focus and evidence of partnership with clinical teams and physicians
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in change management and stakeholder engagement
- Extensive experience in representing the organization in partnership negotiations, meetings with government officials and to a wide variety of internal stakeholders

**Qualifications**:

- A Master’s degree in IT, healthcare administration, business administration or a related field

Primary Responsibilities
1. Digital health strategic planning and leadership
- Drive the development of a comprehensive digital health roadmap and strategy, in partnership with the Hospital’s CIO, CMIO and key stakeholders, to effectively support the broader organizational strategic plan.
- Represent Southlake in senior discussions with Ontario Health, delivery partners, and vendors/contractors to advocate/negotiate for the best and most appropriate digital health solutions.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives across various departments, programs and services.
- Collaboratively build partnerships with executives, clinical and operational leaders, and physician leaders to promote and support the effective integration of digital health solutions into existing processes and workflows to achieve defined objectives and key results.
- Maintain a strong awareness of industry trends, system partner activities, vendor technologies and government strategy, as well as funding and partnership opportunities.

2. Digital health implementation and delivery
- Provide executive leadership to the identification, evaluation and implementation of innovative digital health technologies to improve patient outcomes, engagement and experience.
- Oversee the development and utilization of change management strategies to support the effective adoption and utilization of digital health technologies by staff and physicians.
- Ensure that the appropriate and necessary people and capacity are in place to successfully deliver the digital health and associated strategic goals.
- Provide executive oversight for the successful delivery of funded and approved digital health initiatives.

3. Operational efficiency, process improvement and business continuity
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs and improve operational efficiency through the use of digital technology.
- Oversee the delivery of a cyber-security plan to reduce corporate cyber risk
