**Professional Development Specialist (12-month contract based in Vancouver)**

We have a 12-month contract available for someone who lives in Vancouver or neighbouring districts (must be able to come into our worksite).

Job Summary:
Responsible for handling member inquiries, and administration of the Professional Development Program compliance process. Assists with course material preparation including desktop publishing, power point for new courses under development and existing courses.
- Generates, tracks and monitors communication/notifications to membership-at-risk individuals and non-compliant members.
- Responds to member inquiries regarding compliance status and provide transcripts upon request.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of member compliance and course participant statistics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Tracks and approves PDP hours for members from other sources.
- Performs Moderator duties for online, instructor-led Professional Development courses when required.
- Schedules the meeting in Zoom for online courses. Updates and maintains the meeting ID and relevant links in the applicable spreadsheet / Customer Relationship Management fields.
- Publishes courses and course description summaries to member website. Assists with classroom set-up and instructor equipment needs as required, including trouble-shooting technological issues when they arise.
- Provides technology training and troubleshooting assistance to instructors.
- Responds promptly to member inquiries by telephone, electronically or face to face. Obtains and evaluates all relevant information to handle inquiries, follow up on member interactions and directs unresolved issues to Team Leads or Director.
- Works with Team Leads to monitor and improve processes on an ongoing basis.
- Provides administrative support to other members of the Professional Development Team as may be required.

Skills/qualifications:

- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Power Query an asset).
- Proficiency in desktop publishing is an asset including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgement within a provided set of guidelines.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to provide superior customer service.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to take initiative, balance competing priorities, manage time and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to think quickly and remain calm when faced with stressful situations, and to reach out for or provide support to team members.
