**Employment Type**: Permanent Full Time (35 hours per week)

**Reports to**: Program Manager

**About the Position**:
The Program Coordinator (PC) is responsible for the supervision and support of Case Managers within the BC Services and Assistance for Humanitarian and Vulnerable Newcomers (BC SAF-HAVN) program. This position is accountable for daily operational support, service planning, and facilitation of promotional and networking activities. The PC will also support senior managers in providing planning and administrative support necessary to comply with funder expectations and requirements, including assistance with report writing and data collection.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supports and trains BC SAF HAVN settlement service team members to update their knowledge of settlement, labour market, and immigration navigation for eligible clients, including refugee claimants, refugees, and other humanitarian migrants
- Organizes program activities to meet program outputs and optimizes program outcome
- Organizes adequate staffing at service delivery location(s)
- Liaises with community partners, agencies, and organizations for service collaborations such as space sharing, guest speakers, client referrals
- Plans program promotion strategies to meet client and service targets
- Ensures the program information on the agency website, promotion materials are up-to-date
- Provides program orientation to new team members
- Delivers in-person and online one-on-one direct client service and group facilitation that supports the settlement, labour market, and immigration needs of eligible clients
- Facilitates collaboration and development amongst the team and ensures the quality of services delivered to clients
- Communicates service trends, client needs, and priorities to the Program Manager in a timely manner
- Leads the program’s Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) procedures
- Submits accurate service records, statistics, and program reports to Program Manager within the scheduled timeline
- Participates in internal and external meetings, agency events, and trainings as approved by the Program Manager
- Performs other program related duties as assigned by the Program Manager

**Education, Training and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or related field
- Knowledge of BC settlement, immigration and labour market information
- Knowledge of local resources in the community
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) Certification is an asset
- Experience in working with refugee claimants, refugees, and other humanitarian migrants
- Experience in facilitating in-person and online workshops and special events

**Job Skills & Abilities**:

- Additional language skills are considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent research and data analytical skills
- Ability to work with individuals facing immigration, settlement, and employment challenges
- Ability to work independently at different service delivery locations
- Excellent social media skills such as Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn
- Ability to take initiative and proactive action
- Ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing program needs

**Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work weekends and evenings as required
- Ability to travel within Greater Vancouver
- Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check required
- Ability to work virtually or remotely as required
