We are looking for a full-time employee to help care for indoor and outdoor plants in various locations throughout the lower mainland.

Job requirements:

- **Education and Training**:

- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A degree or certification in horticulture, botany, or a related field is preferable.
- On-the-job training or specific courses in indoor plant care will be provider by Greenspace
- **Knowledge and Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of indoor plants, including their care, maintenance, and specific environmental requirements.
- Understanding of basic horticultural principles, plant biology, and pest control.
- Knowledge of different types of indoor plants and their specific needs (lighting, watering, temperature, etc.).
- Good problem-solving skills for diagnosing plant issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
- **Physical Fitness**:

- The ability to lift and move heavy plant containers and equipment.
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and kneeling during plant care activities.
- **Customer Service Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, answering questions, and providing plant care advice.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Keen observation skills to identify signs of plant stress, diseases, or pests.
- Attention to detail in arranging and maintaining indoor plant displays.
- **Organizational Skills**:

- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently, especially when caring for multiple clients' plants.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Familiarity with the use of basic horticultural tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, fertilizers, and other plant care products.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plant health, such as diseases or pests.
- **Flexibility**:

- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, client preferences, and new plant care techniques.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Benefits**:

- Extended health care

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
