**Job Purpose & Responsibilities**:
The City of Cold Lake is seeking a qualified individual to fill the **full-time, permanent** position of Land-Use Planning, Development & Regulatory Services Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position is responsible for:

- Strong professional leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to the planning & development and municipal enforcement teams.
- Assess budgets, maintain communication expectations, review reports, and establish and monitor performance measures.
- Oversee the development, review, implementation, and compliance of all of the City’s statutory planning obligations in accordance with the _Municipal Government_** **_Act, _and related planning regulations, inclusive of statutory and non-statutory plans and planning and development processes.
- Drive, develop, manage, and implement planning, development and regulatory plans, processes, and solutions to build an increasingly sustainable community that is consistent with the vision and core strategies of the City’s strategic plan.

**Qualification/Competencies**:

- Post-Secondary and/or post-graduate education in related disciplines including: planning, engineering, police, administration, and or regulatory environments.
- Five (5) to Ten (10) years’ supervisory experience, including five (5) years’ experience in senior role, preferably in a Municipal Government setting.
- Knowledge of the Alberta Solicitor General Peace Officer Program, Subdivision & Development Regulations, and _Municipal Government Act. _
- Must be able to express ideas effectively, have strong problem-solving skills, and organization and project management skills.
- An affinity for fostering strong working relationships in a multi-disciplinary team while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Class 5 Drivers’ License
- Must be willing to provide a Criminal Record Check and a Driver Abstract.
