We are looking to hire a Purchasing Coordinator to join the Purchasing team at Unifiller Systems Inc. This position is a full time permanent position. As the Purchasing Coordinator, you are a professional and build relationships with vendors and suppliers. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-demand environment and can multitask.

**Your **Purpose**:
As the Purchasing Coordinator, you will manage strategy and the day-to-day Purchasing and Planning requirements. You will assist with all projects and customer requirements.

**Your Primary Duties**:

- Take the lead in managing the relationships between the company and all its overseas suppliers and supply chain partners
- Follow the established documentation control and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring the company's parts are on time, at the best possible price
- Focus on intelligently sourcing parts to suppliers and partners
- Responsible for controlling material costs through cost reduction and cost increase avoidance initiatives
- To plan order quantities, replenishment quantities, and deliveries working with a database
- To maintain the database consistent with production and inventory plans
- To resolve short-term quality issues with suppliers, and follow up on non-conformance reports
- Analyzes both current and potential suppliers to ensure the company's supply needs are met
- To expedite parts to ensure on-time/just-in-time deliveries and to react to unplanned increases or decreases in parts
- To resolve invoicing issues with accounting and the suppliers
- Carry out other duties as assigned

**What your qualifications are**:

- You have purchasing experience, preferably in the Manufacturing industry with exposure to lean manufacturing concepts
- You have at least one year of experience using an ERP system (we use Made2Manage)
- You are internally and externally customer focused, with the ability to communicate well with stakeholders
- You are very organized and have excellent time management skills and can work independently with mínimal supervision
- You can multitask and know how to prioritize and take initiative
- You have demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to find root causes, evaluate alternative solutions and implement them quickly and effectively
- You are a quick learner and have strong critical thinking skills
