**ABOUT POSITION**

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for entering and following up on purchase orders for multiple departments.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage all aspects of the purchase process, including maintaining a network of reliable suppliers, cost analysis, sourcing, quotations, timely order placement, monitoring of order delivery timelines, RMA coordination, and resolving any discrepancies or delivery issues
- Monitor and identify changes affecting supply, demand, and needed products and materials and consider price, quality, availability, reliability, and support when choosing suppliers and merchandise
- Search available products to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery
- Negotiate policies and contracts with various suppliers
- Immediate notification to all stakeholders of any potential delay of materials
- Update purchase orders to reflect correct pricing and delivery dates
- Maintain accurate records with regards to pricing, order confirmations, and other vendor related issues.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports as requested
- Support Parts Sales and other departments as required
- Continuously improve upon processes and offer solutions to increase overall efficiency and effectiveness
- Continual update of technical knowledge through education workshops and reviewing technical publications
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications and Experience**
- 2+ years of experience in Purchasing or Administrative support
- Some education in Business or related field, familiarity in design, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in MS Office suite and previous experience with an ERP system
- Familiarity of components associated with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems is preferred
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications an asset
- Experience working with wood processing machinery an asset
- Must possess a valid passport and driver’s license

- 8 hour shift
- No weekends

- Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
