Nestled in the heart of Austin Heights, Coffee + Vanilla is one of Coquitlam's favourite independent cafe.

We offer high-quality locally roasted coffee, delicious desserts made fresh daily and friendly service with a smile.

Now, we are looking for responsible, passionate about coffee and just fun people to join our small team.

If you want to learn, or learn more about specialty coffee, coffee roasting and how to start enjoying baking in the early morning, you’ve found the right place.

Here is what we need from you.

Qualifications:

- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: Will train (maybe, hopefully)

Desirable qualifications:

- Some (good) barista experience
- Punctual and reliable team-player
- Passion for working with people
- Or at least show up on the shift in a decent mood

Key responsibilities:

- Serve delicious coffee, pastries and food
- Focus on quality and high preparation standards
- Maintain the equipment, clean working area and appliances
- Open/Close the store
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floor
- Provide exceptional customer experience
- Describe our menu items to customers, suggest products that might appeal to them, provide information about coffees and preparation methods
- Process cash register payments by cash, debit or credit card and gift card
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
