Sous la responsabilité de notre gérant d'immeuble, l'employé qualifié sera responsable d'une variété de tâches liées à la location d'appartements, aux réparations, à l'entretien et à divers projets pour un immeuble d'appartements résidentiels, en plus d'être disponible pour répondre aux appels urgents de la semaine et de la fin de semaine, au besoin. Votre sens des relations humaines sera suffisamment développé pour vous permettre de traiter avec nos locataires. La fiabilité, la ponctualité, l'autonomie et le sens du détail sont des qualités essentielles pour ce poste.

**Tâches et responsabilités**:

- Effectuer des réparations mineures dans les appartements (plomberie et électricité).
- Avoir de l'expérience dans les réparations de cloisons sèches, la peinture, les réparations de sols et de carrelages, etc.
- Préparer les appartements pour la location après le déménagement des locataires
- Répondre aux appels de service des locataires
- Inspecter les machines du bâtiment (vérifier et changer les filtres si nécessaire)
- Sortir les bacs de recyclage et les poubelles. Passer l'aspirateur dans les couloirs, nettoyer les entrées
- Couper l'herbe avec un tracteur à gazon/tailler les buissons
- Déneigement de l'entrée du bâtiment. Le déneigement des aires de stationnement est effectué par un entrepreneur.
- Connaître le fonctionnement du système d'alarme et de détection d'incendie de l'établissement.
- Répondre aux appels pour les locations, faire visiter les appartements
- Remettre les avis de renouvellement de bail et autres avis divers aux locataires de temps à autre.
- Effectuer d'autres tâches diverses liées à ce poste chaque fois que cela est nécessaire.
- Être disponible pour répondre aux appels urgents en semaine et le week-end.

**Exigences et qualifications**:

- Au moins 2 ans d'expérience en tant que préposé à l'entretien ou à un autre poste similaire
- Expérience de la location d'appartements résidentiels (formation sur place disponible)
- Permis de conduire valide (classe 5 - automobile, VUS, camionnette 2 essieux)
- Connaissance de base des systèmes de chauffage, de plomberie et d'électricité
- Expérience du travail avec des outils, y compris des outils manuels et électriques.
- Être organisé et capable de hiérarchiser les tâches.
- Doit être fiable, autonome et ponctuel
- Personne proactive et orientée vers les détails, avec un œil vif pour les réparations et l'entretien.
- Anglais ou français, le bilinguisme est un atout mais n'est pas obligatoire
- Solides compétences en matière de travail d'équipe

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform minor fixes in apartments (plumbing and electricity)
- Have experience with drywall repairs, painting, floor and tiles repairs, etc.
- Prepare apartments for rent after tenant move-out
- Answer tenant service calls
- Building machinery inspections (check and change filters as necessary)
- Take out recycling and garbage bins. Vacuum corridors, clean entrances
- Cut grass with lawn tractor/trim bushes
- Snow removal at building entrance. Snow removal in parking areas done by contractor.
- Be familiar with the functionality of the facility’s alarm and fire detection system.
- Answer calls for rentals, show apartments
- Deliver lease renewal notices and other miscellaneous notices to tenants from time to time
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks related to this position whenever required
- Available to answer urgent calls weeknights and weekends.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position
- Some experience renting residential apartments (on site training available)
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 - automobile, SUV, light truck 2 axles)
- Basic knowledge of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience working with tools, including hand and power tools
- Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Must be reliable, autonomous and punctual
- Proactive and detailed oriented person with a keen eye for repairs and maintenance
- English or French, bilingualism is an asset but not mandatory
- Strong teamwork skills
