Under the direction of the Senior IT Manager Tech Sort Automation and Visibility, this position focuses on automation solutions for the operations EV Program in Purolator’s Network.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Lead Project responsibilities from start to finish. This will include multiple mini projects within the same time period.
- Ensures the availability of the Application layers associated to Operations Technology Solutions
- Supports operations and provides recommendations for improving the overall performance
- Performs day-to-day IT/Network maintenance activities as needed
- Deploys new updates for various systems and rollback in case needed
- Troubleshoots communication issues from end to end
- Recommends any additional network security measures
- Changes plans in the backup & restore software
- Upgrades the firmware for the various types of industrial equipment (EV Chargers, controllers, label printers, and but not limited to handheld scanners)
- Raises service requests to the vendor when needed
- Controls software and hardware versions
- Performs corrective maintenance actions to reduce the downtime
- Creates root cause analysis reports for the issues found on site
- Creates and executes comprehensive test plans, reports, and tracks issues through to resolution
- Studies sort plans and reports issues/modifications/enhancements required
- Monitors the hosts, VMs, NMS, and NAS performance and reports any abnormalities where applicable
- Manages the spare parts inventory as needed
- Adheres to safety standards

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education. University or college degree in computer science/electronics engineering
- At least 2 years experience working in a related field
- Understanding of basic project management skills (Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting and Executing)
- Experience with leading/managing projects
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Negotiation skills, analytical problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Certification in CompTIA Network+/CCNA is considered an asset
- Familiarity with the following industrial technologies would be an asset:

- EV Charging Stations and software
- Traditional IT Ethernet/Wireless Networks
- SCADA and other control software
- OCPP server protocols
- Optical Character Recognition Systems
- Database
- Oracle WebLogic Administration
- Veeam Backup and Restore
- Grafana
- Label Printers
- Handheld Scanners
- UPS
- PLC
- Profinet
- Experience with EV vehicles, Charging hardware and Software is considered an asset
- Experience in instrumentation, automation, and process control networks
- Experience within the courier/transportation industry
