**Key Accountabilities**:

- Leads, supports, and collaborates toward, as appropriate, the development and assessment of microcredential programming
- Provides expertise on best practices in competency-based education development, assessment, and microcredentialing.
- Fosters change through expert influence in a diverse organization while working with leadership and functional managers to advise on microcredential education strategy and initiatives.
- Develops strategic partnerships with faculty, staff and administrators to design, develop, and facilitate implementation of microcredential education systems in selected credit and non-credit programs.
- Provides direct support and assistance to program administrators, faculty, and instructional designers in the development of microcredentials
- Researches, develops, and/or recommends acquisition of assessment methods and instruments to provide valid and reliable assessment of student competencies.
- Provides input on the overall direction and long-term strategic vision for the ongoing design, development, and evaluation of microcredential education programs.
Fosters relationships with other institutions, industry, and stakeholder groups and facilitates focus groups and information gathering sessions

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Teaching experience in online and/or face-to-face learning environments.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of a diploma in the field of Education is required.
A Bachelors Degree or Masters - Adult education, educational technology and/or curriculum development would be an asset.
A graduate degree in another field with extensive related experience would also be considered.
5 years of relevant experience.
Strong track record of program and assessment development in a post-secondary or formal workplace role.

**Remuneration**: $ 77,938.12 - $ 104,496.86 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Advisor/Specialist III).
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement._
