**Salary**: $2,757.39 to $3,604.17 bi-weekly ($71,967 to $ 94,068 / year)

**Role Responsibilities**:
The Child Intervention Delivery Division (CID), and Youth in Transition Branch leads Children and Family Services in the delivery of targeted approaches to support young adults from care as they transition to adulthood, through the Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP). TAP empowers young adults from care to meet their full potential through self-selection of specialized pathways to support their needs. The pathways support educational, career and employment life goals for young adults who are ready to pursue their aspirations. The TAP Foster Caregivers Caring for Young Adults (FCCYA) initiative is situated under the Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP).

This role requires in depth theoretical knowledge that is applied in the delivery and overall analysis of the FCCYA initiative: Assessing the effectiveness of the initiative, completing in depth research of current and emerging trends in similar programming federally and abroad. Theoretical knowledge will be needed to ensure the initiative is: trauma informed, based on current emerging adulthood theory, remains inclusive for clients presenting a constellation of mental, and physical health and addiction needs, and various accommodation considerations. The ACS Specialist is required to consider initiative wide, and provincial clients' cultural, spiritual, medical and developmental aspects that all need to be concurrently accounted for.

The ACS Specialist is responsible for the ongoing policy/ practice development of the initiative based on in depth research, jurisdictional scans, and client feedback provided by the ACS Practitioners. This role requires an in-depth understanding of TAP/ FCCYA Policy and practice as a base to develop / amend policy required to direct TAP clients and adult caregivers accessing the program. In addition, an understanding of administrative processes to support any questions regarding the processing for funds and which other areas of the branch and division are responsible for the processing of such funds, should issues arise.

This role is responsible for overseeing the ACS Practitioner and their FCCYA case management and case planning for clients accessing the initiative, ensuring client's CICIO data has been entered correctly and adheres to all applicable information retention policy / directives.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.

**Equivalency**: Directly related education (Social Work, Humanities, Psychology, Sociology) or experience considered on the basis of:

- Knowledge of government decision-making, implementation, and internal and external stakeholder engagement processes and instruments as well as political acumen.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Experience with projects involving changes to legislation, regulations, and policies in order to provide strategic direction to branches and to make feasible recommendations to executive leadership.
- Experience with establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and/or other provincial, territorial and federal government representatives.
