**Winery Overview**:
Riverhouse Restaurant at Northern Lights Estate Winery is the only restaurant on the river in Prince George. Guests from all over the world join us in experiencing the wild offerings of the North, both in dining and experience.

We are finalizing a renovation to our kitchen with a brand new menu and a lot of community excitement. We are looking for dedicated and reliable team members to open this new restaurant and grow with us.

**Position Description**:
As a member of our Culinary Team, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our guest experience. Your personal attention and knowledge of our food offerings and wines makes our guests feel unique and valued.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and stock stations with all product and supplies necessary for service.
- Follow direction of Head Chef and Sous Chef to complete required tasks to their standard.
- Prepare, cook and service all food for our a la carte and event menus according to our recipes, standards and company’s direction.
- Maintenance of cleanliness and organization in all work areas and storage areas
- Consistently offering a warm and approachable demeanor to curious guests in our relatively open kitchen.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of our menu items, daily features, promotions, events and wines.
- Accurate prep of menu items based on anticipated restaurant and event traffic.
- Consistent maintenance of the dish area, servicing dishes consistently, and leaving the area in sparkling condition.
- Using a keen awareness of safe and sanitary methods for preparing foods based on Food Safe methods and common sense.
- A high degree of teamwork, assisting in other departments and areas of the business when needed.
- A highly coachable attitude, working to improve and maintain a high standard in all culinary aspects.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have reliable transportation (work sites are not located on bus routes)
- Must be able to meet physical needs of the position; able to lift 40 lbs frequently and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Foodsafe level 1 is required
- Professional Level 1 or 2 cooks are considered an asset
- Must be comfortable scaling ladders
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including split shifts, early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must express a sincere interest in learning about wine and food and providing unmatched service.

**Wage is based on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
