The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.

**About the Opportunity**:
Interprofessional Practice and Learning (IPP&L) facilitates and advances excellence in quality person centred care in the NSHA through an integration of a variety of services aimed at enhancing professional practice. Services and programs integrate evidence informed practice and ensure practices and processes support quality care at the individual, team, and system level. IPP&L take a leadership role in creating a culture of learning with a focus on clinical practice, clinical leadership, knowledge translation, and Interprofessional collaboration. We ensure the design and delivery of learner centred, professional development to enhance staff skills and knowledge, and coach leaders to help create environments that embed learning in the practice setting.

Reporting to the Director, Interprofessional Practice & Learning (IPP&L), the Secretary provides administrative and technology support functions for the development, delivery and evaluation of educational programming at the Learning Institute, which includes but is not limited to preparation of print based and electronic materials, maintenance of databases and learning management systems, and customer relations.

This position supports and works collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12 plus graduate of a recognized office administration/business/secretarial program or an equivalent combination of education, training and progressively responsible experience required
- Two years recent and related experience required
- Medical terminology is an asset
- Proficiency with word processing and formatting, electronic file management and data entry
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and database management
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Well-developed interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Strong organizational, time management and planning/prioritization skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite, internet browsers, and Learning Management Systems
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

**Hours of Work**:
Permanent, Full-Time (70 hours bi-weekly)
