**About Sanguen Health Centre**
Sanguen Health Centre exists to improve individual and community well-being by providing health and social care for people who face barriers to accessing traditional supports. This includes people living with HCV, people who use drugs, those experiencing homelessness and equity deserving communities.

**About the Guelph/Wellington Community Health Van**
The Guelph/Wellington Community Health Van team is looking for an organized, self-motivated individual to drive our Community Health Van. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to ever-changing community needs.
**Accountabilities**
**Driving**
- Driving the van and ensuring van maintenance, including getting gas.
- Driving long distances, sometimes in inclement weather.
- Comfortable interacting with community members and people accessing van services
- Maintain an organized stock of supplies distributed to visitors and tracking inventory on a weekly basis.
- Picking up donations.
**Administration & Coordination**
- Organize the program calendar and resources.
- Maintain organization of the group room.
- Support with data collection.
- Reconcile monthly Visa statements.
- Coordinate donation pick ups, as needed.
**Outreach**
- Act as a friendly and professional representative of the Van and services.
- Maintain an effective flow of traffic while delivering Van services.
- Direct those utilizing program services to other staff/resources, as required.
- Prepare and distribute outreach items, such as snack bags.
**Qualifications**
- Possess a valid G-Class driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive in inclement weather year round (in both rural and urban settings).
- Demonstrate strong time-management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and autonomously.
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and possess current automobile insurance in order to pick up donations.
- Must be comfortable being around, discussing, and working with drug use and folks that use or have used drugs.
- Must be understanding and compassionate about the barriers people who use drugs experience.
- Must be willing to continuously learn from the experts (people who use drugs).
- Must be able to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 pounds (23kg) repeatedly.
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 (or willing to become vaccinated).
**Preferred skills**
- De-escalation skills when it comes to conflict and crisis management.
- Experience driving a van (or larger vehicle).
- Experience working in Harm Reduction.
**Hours and Location of Work**
- Working hours will be 32 hours per week, primarily daytimes Monday to Friday, and daytime as well as evening availability is required for Thursdays.
- Must be available to drive the van Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Wellington County/Guelph.
**Compensation**
- 4 weeks’ vacation which accrues biweekly.
- A comprehensive Employee Benefits package upon successful completion of the probationary period.
- 15 paid sick days per calendar year.
