**About the position**:
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Learning Forum, and under the day-to-day supervision of the Principal of the P’tite École and Junior School, you will work closely with the existing programs and activities of the Learning Forum at the P’tite École and Junior School. Your responsibilities will include:
Provide support to students with identified and unidentified learning needs, and assist them in developing effective learning strategies to optimize academic success- Provide professional development sessions and workshops with and for teachers, to promote best practices in teaching and social emotional learning- Work closely with, and provide support to, faculty in the delivery of a variety of teaching and learning strategies that promote best practices for all students and that further the understanding of the unique learning needs of identified students- Model and co-teach to help implement effective learning strategies through differentiation- Monitor academic progress of students with learning needs and maintain an accurate log of student contacts, and home and school communication- Assist in the preparation and sharing of Learning Support Plans from psycho-educational assessments- Participate in a variety of meetings and discussions related to student progress and academic concerns, and help prepare for transitions between grade levels and branches- Liaise regularly and effectively with all constituent groups regarding these students: classroom teachers, other Learning Specialists, consulting psychologist or psycho-ed, principal and/or delegate, students and their parents;- Provide learning skills lessons and workshops for P’tite École students on a variety of topics related to academic success, such as study skills, test preparation and classroom learning strategies- Staying up-to-date with new research and practices on effective teaching and learning strategies across the curriculum.- Create and maintain partnerships with learning institutions for research and the development of teachers professional learning and instructional practices

**Who we are looking for**:
Bilingual: Excellent level in French and English and ability to teach in French and English- Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a Master degree in education- Additional qualification in Special Education (part 1, 2 and Specialist Designation) is required- Training in Literacy and/or Numeracy instruction and remediation- Training in psychology and/or psychoeducation and communication- Combined master's degree in mental health with a program in organization of health and social services- Experience in teaching strategies to support teachers regarding social-emotional needs as well as academic support- Relevant classroom experience teaching young students with identified learning needs- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Year (PYP) Program and its mission- Excellent French and English skills (oral and written) required- Knowledge of current educational research on best practices, differentiated instruction and curriculum integration of information technology in the classroom.- Excellent adaptability
