Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) provides over 87 million trips every year on buses, Light Rail Transit (LRT), Dedicated Accessible Transit Service (DATS) and On Demand Transit. This branch provides customer focused, safe, reliable and affordable public transportation services that link people, jobs and communities. Your role will be to audit the existing ETS website content and structure and conduct industry related environmental scans in order to make recommendations that aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities Include:

- Assist the team in performing research for web analysis; including but not limited to web design, audit of the web design, social media, and all online/digital interactions with customers
- Complete environmental scans and comparative analysis related to web design and functionality specific to public transit websites
- Support qualitative research such as identifying best practices, survey distribution, and data collection
- Compile and draft research reports
- Assist in developing customer online journey mapping
- Support and consult on customer experience strategies
- Work alongside project and event manager(s) to support coordination of project/event resources, timelines, and deliverables while working effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the maintenance and search engine optimization of existing web projects and digital assets
- Assist technical teams by preparing design assets and stylesheet for implementation through programming
- Develop visual representations of narrative and data
- Support internal and external communication through a variety of digital channels: infographics, presentations, social media posts
- Perform other related duties as required

**Note**: This position will be a combination of working from home and on-site working conditions.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a marketing or communications, digital media co-op or related post-secondary diploma or degree work experience program
- Experience with web design
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, graphic design/visual communication, web, and web practices and principles
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain strong working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research - with proven attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Knowledge of research and statistical methods and techniques
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the absence of a supervisor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple elements and timelines

**Hours of Work**: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.

**Salary**: $18.998 - $21.189 (Hourly)
