**The Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Bureau Commander of Business Management Bureau** is seeking a qualified individual to join our Bureau. OPP Facilities Section supports the maintenance and development of new and existing OPP facilities; lease management; long and short term accommodations; coordination of maintenance issues for Government Provided Employee Housing; as well as other infrastructure related issues for more than 500 facilities in the OPP's portfolio.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will:

- Plan, develop and implement construction, accommodation and leasing projects, and related services for Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clients in various locations across the Province.
- Provide technical advice and costing options to clients and ensure that work complies with established standards, and contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure adherence to accommodation requirements, coordinate facilities planning and construction projects.
- Provide technical advice to clients.
- Access, manipulate and analyze data and information, prepare documentation and track and monitor projects using computer software.
- Act as the primary liaison between OPP clients and representatives of Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and its service providers.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Mandatory**:

- Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation.
- Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Knowledge of facilities management policies, procedures, guidelines and standards; accommodation and lease management processes; business plans; Workplace Environment Guidelines (WEG), financial controllership, budget estimates and input into capital and strategic plans.
- Knowledge of architectural design, relevant construction codes (Building Code, Fire Code, etc.), legislation, including health and safety regulations. Knowledge of space planning, ergonomics, barrier-free (AODA) requirements and security construction (CPRED) and inspection practices.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, guidelines, processes and standards to plan, develop, coordinate and implement multiple, large-scale accommodation/leasing projects.
- Knowledge of facilities design and database technology, building specifications and sciences; and related database information systems, to interpret technical implications; and to produce reports; and to monitor critical paths and project expenditures.
