**RYGIEL**_Supports for Community Living _**is currently recruiting for a full-time **Accounting Coordinator.**
**Reporting to: Finance Manager**
**Location: Onsite**
**Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Perm. Full-Time)**
**Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000**

The **Accounting Coordinator**plays a critical role in ensuring our financial systems operate seamlessly to meet the needs of the organization. This position focuses heavily on maintaining accurate billing, payments, and reconciliations; enabling Rygiel to deliver high-quality service to the people we support.
Your work will directly impact the lives of the people we support by ensuring the financial processes that sustain their care and accommodations are handled with precision, timeliness, and a service-oriented approach. We are looking for a professional who is not only skilled in financial administration but also deeply committed to the well-being of the individuals and families we serve.
**What You’ll Do**
In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for both accounts receivable & payable functions, including:
**Accounts Receivable Responsibilities**
- ** Billing and Payments for People Supported**:
- Generate and distribute invoices, statements, and financial reports for individuals supported and external partners.
- Calculate and process refunds with precision and attention to detail.
- Handle inquiries and resolve account discrepancies related to payments, billing, and adjustments.
- ** Account Reconciliation and Compliance**:
- Reconcile accounts for individuals supported, broker statements, and payment registers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with organizational processes for move-ins, move-outs, refunds, and billing adjustments.
- Escalate unresolved or non-compliant issues to management as needed.
- ** Customer Service Excellence**:
- Provide clear communication and support to people supported, their families, and external stakeholders regarding account matters.
- Uphold a commitment to exceptional client service, treating every interaction with professionalism and care.
**Accounts Payable Responsibilities**
- ** Processing and Recordkeeping**:
- Review, verify, and process invoices and expense reports for payment.
- Accurately post payments, disbursements, and journal entries in the accounting system.
- Manage cheque requisitions, ensuring adherence to internal controls and approval processes.
- ** Account Reconciliation and Reporting**:
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies or outstanding balances.
- Prepare reports for internal stakeholders, providing insights into payables and receivables.
- ** Efficiency and Accuracy**:
- Maintain detailed records to support audits and compliance requirements.
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy and adherence to internal policies.
**About You**
You’re a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting impactful work. You bring:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or combination of comparable skills and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role, with a strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, and tools such as Microsoft Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, processing information efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Strong solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to problem-solve, adapt and pivot.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and demonstrate integrity, accountability, honesty,
- and transparency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a non-profit organization is an asset.
- A passion for the developmental services sector and a dedication to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of funding and payment systems related to developmental services (e.g., ODSP, SSAH, Respite and Passport funding) is an asset
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
**Requirements**:
- Provide a current and original negative Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check prior to employment.
- Must be able to provide a record of immunization, including TB 2 step test upon hire.
