Patrick Mechanical Ltd. is a Sudbury based mechanical contracting company founded in 1989. Over the years, we have established ourselves in the industrial, commercial, and institutional contracting fields. Our specialties include mechanical contracting, custom steel fabrication, plumbing, heating, process piping, millwright, and related services.
Patrick Mechanical is a growing, dynamic, and innovative mechanical company with an extensive fleet of skilled workers allowing us to offer services all over Northern Ontario. We are loyal to our customers, providing efficient and cost-effective products and services.
**Responsibilities & Duties**:
- Update internal databases and maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
- Help audit, review HR documents, mainly employment contracts.
- Help revise company policies ,process’, workflow and Raci Matrix.
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and aid and distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team.
- Help support and maintain regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates)
- Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves of absence, personal emergency days and work schedules)
- Collaborate with senior managers in lowering labor costs and retaining employees (develop employees)
- Participate in weekly resource meetings
- Assist Human Resource Manager with Employee Development
- Participate in performance reviews with Management and supervisor’s
- Help administrate Benefit program with the Human Resource Manager
- Help coordinate and administer Apprenticeship program
- Help strive for continuous improvement in the workplace.
- Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; booking focus groups; employee surveys; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions as set out by Senior Management.
- Help ensure our HR department supports our employees while conforming to labor laws.
**Requires Knowledge & Awareness of Following Tasks**
- Proven work experience as an HR Coordinator or relevant human resource position
- Knowledge of Human Resource Process and best practices
- BS in Human Resources or relevant field an asset
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent communication skills
- Working towards HRPA or CHRP professional designation
