**Position**:Manager, Human Resources**
**Location : Timmins or North Bay, ON**
GreenFirst is looking for a Human Resources Manager who is responsible for overseeing and managing the HR operations for GFFP. In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources you will demonstrate influential leadership, align HR strategies with organizational goals, ensure compliance with all relevant legislations and legal requirements as well as provide expertise and support in various HR disciplines such as performance management, recruitment, payroll, pension, benefits, labour relations, organizational development and health & safety.

**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain strong communications to keep your team and sites informed regarding HR priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant employment legislation such as the Employment Standards Act, Human rights code, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, Pay Equity Act and Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
- Strong knowledge as it relates to total compensation including benefits and pension.
- Provide support and leadership to the payroll department for the purposes of ensuring effective department functioning, coordinating activities, and compliance with established financial, legal and administrative requirements.
- Occasional travel between sites/corporate office
- Direct the performance management, talent development, and succession planning processes to meet current and long-term needs for competence, and continuity across the workforce.
- Provide expertise in workforce planning, job evaluation, attendance management and accommodation.
- Keep up to date with HR trends and regulation changes - collect & analyze data to identify trends and target improvements. Act as Management Representation on various Joint
- Committees.
- Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices for GFFP.
- Promote and support the Health & Safety programs to increase employee awareness.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations; or other relevant education.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)/ Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a management position.
- Business acumen, sound judgement, strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills required.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and discretion in all day-to-day practices.
- Sounds leadership, staff management and teambuilding skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
