**Job Summary**:
Under the general direction of the Director of Quality & Patient Safety, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in effective and efficient operations within the Quality & Patient Safety portfolio. The role will include management of the Quality & Patient Safety team office. This includes providing administrative support to the Director and the Quality & Patient Safety Program and preparing documentation and various publications.

**Qualifications**:
Required
Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Training Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, as determined by CancerCare Manitoba
3 years' related experience supporting an intermediate senior-level level leader
Ability to work independently, interfacing with highly skilled professionals in a team environment provide leadership in work activities
Typing speed of at least 50 wpm
Must have satisfactory employment record
Must be legally able to work in Canada
**Will be assessed during the interview process**:
Excellent interpersonal and written/ oral communication skills
Exceptional time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
**Preferred**:
College or undergraduate education in business or a related field
Related experience in a complex healthcare or academic environment
**Asset**:
Formal training and/ or experience as a legal administrative assistant or paralegal
Ability to speak French
