Atlohsa Family Healing Services is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to fill the role of a **Marketing and Communications Assistant. **As the Marketing and Communications Assistant, you will work closely with and report to the Development Coordinator to support marketing and communication goals, build the organization’s reputation and brand, and enhance marketing communications. The Marketing and Communications Assistant supports both internal and external communications, content creation, and the execution of tactical marketing and communication strategies.

The Marketing and Communications Assistant provides support for a broad range of integrated communications through a variety of communications channels including but not limited to website, social media, digital mediums, and print.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of an organization making a real difference for the local Indigenous community of London. We are a local non-profit looking for support, and everyone’s contribution is invaluable.

**Role and Responsibility**

**Suitability**
- Basic knowledge of marketing and communications principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong process management and organization skills.
- Experience with Canva, Microsoft Publisher, and/or Adobe Photoshop is an asset.
- Experience with media relations and press release writing an asset.
- Ability to work with sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable service ethic, characterized by high energy and a positive attitude.
- Proactive and innovative problem solver; a self-starter.
- Accountability; ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of, or experience with, indigenous cultures/traditions is an asset.
- Work experience with a charity is an asset.

**EMPLOYMENT TERM**: Contract; Full-Time
**CLOSING DATE**: July 5, 2024
**REMUNERATION**: $19.11 per hour
