Innovation Saskatchewan supports Saskatchewan’s research community and technology sector to create economic growth and diversity. As the central innovation agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province's innovation priorities and growing the technology sector. Innovation Saskatchewan develops policies and programs and conducts activities that assist in the implementation of research & development, science, and technology for the province. This includes development and operation of Saskatchewan’s research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.

**The Opportunity**

**Primary Responsibilities**

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Supporting and advising the Director of Strategic Planning & Governance in the development, execution, monitoring and evaluation of Innovation Saskatchewan’s strategy
- Ensuring suitable metrics are identified to measure performance and progress
- Coordinating and maintaining regular reporting of results related to corporate key performance indicators, agency initiatives and improvement activities
- Evaluating existing processes to ensure efficiency, consistency and relevance and support continuous improvement initiatives on behalf of the agency
- Coordinating and preparing a variety of written materials, including results reporting, briefing notes, standard operating procedures and process maps to support recommendations
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis on opportunities, challenges and best practices in the areas of strategic planning and continuous improvement
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders on strategy development and implementation

- Strong understanding of strategic and government priorities in Saskatchewan
- Experience with government’s decision-making tools and legislative, regulatory and policy development tools and processes
- Excellent collaboration skills to leads, facilitate and contribute to working groups, discuss issues and gain support from stakeholders
- Ability to connect with and develop effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to effectively manage and get work done in an environment of constant change
- Ability to make timely decisions and/or recommendations
- Excellent soft skills along with proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft365 programs, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Commerce preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in strategic planning and/or public policy preferred
