**What it’s all about**:
The District Sales Manager is a seasoned sales and people leader, with a proven track record of success within the foodservice distribution industry. In this position, the DSM will bring a results-orientated drive to manage and guide a team of sales professionals in London/Western Ontario region to achieve revenue goals for the district.

**What you’ll do**:

- Manage sales team members on a daily basis and provide guidance
- Manage sales quotas, gross margin and overall performance of Territory Managers to meet profit goals
- Maintain clear and complete sales reports for management review
- Identify areas of improvement and provide training to sales team including sales strategy implementation and best-selling practices
- Provide support to the team to implement new sales techniques
- Participate and support recruitment, retention, and promotion activities
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvements
- Contact potential customers and identify new business opportunities
- Maintain a pulse on customer needs, market trends, and industry competition
- Analyze sales performance and recommend improvements
- Develop promotional programs to increase sales and revenue
- Plan and coordinate sales activities for assigned projects
- Provide a high level of customer service focused on customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers within each sales district
- Ensure sales team follow company policies and procedures, and support Flanagan’s vision, mission, and values at all times

**What we need**:

- Minimum 5 years foodservice experience as a chef, sales manager, or related sales role required
- Post-secondary education in sales or marketing preferred
- Strong understanding of relationship between sales and margins required
- Previous broad line food service sales experience and understanding of industry required
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills required
- Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- Ability to analyze and communicate data to grow sales, and overcome obstacles in the sales process
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills required
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Class G driver’s license and ability to travel required
