System Job Title: Business Analyst 6 or 7

Leader Name: Director, Stress Testing & Basel

**As ATB’s next Business Analyst, **you will join the Stress Testing Group (STG). The STG group conducts enterprise-level stress and scenario testing and manages the annual Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP). STG works closely with various teams within Risk Management, and the broader organization, to get a comprehensive view of risks the organization might face. This often involves identifying scenarios, working through how ATB’s operating environment could change and quantifying impacts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management and Economics in the preparation of the annual Stress Risk Profile and other related documents
- Review, document and participate in the development of scenario narratives and related parameter assumptions
- Work with lines of business to ensure narratives are internally consistent
- Staying current of changes in regulatory expectations as it pertains to stress testing and the ICAAP
- Running and enhancing ATB’s stress testing tools (including vendor tools - such as macro economic models) to derive insights
- Help respond to ICAAP or Stress Testing inquiries

**Requirements**:

- A degree in Commerce, Economics or Accounting. Preference is given to individuals with or achieving an advanced degree or a professional designation such as PRM, FRM, CFA
- Demonstrated strong statistical programing (SQL, Python and SAS) skills, combined with experience manipulating large datasets to derive insights
- 5+ years of experience working in Risk Management or an Economic Research role (particularly if it is within a regulated Financial Institution)
- Knowledge of OSFI prescribed regulatory requirements (such as the OSFI Guidelines E18 & E19) considered an asset
- 5+ years working with forecasting models (economic & pro-forma) - specifically models that are interactive and not primarily spreadsheet operated
- The work will require the ability to work independently and problem solve. Strong organization, time management and communication skills are a requirement
