Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people and creating a positive impact? Join the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul (SSVP) as the **Manager of Housing Support** and play a pivotal role in supporting the mission, vision and values of SSVP

Reporting to the Director of Housing and Community Support, you will lead a small dedicated team of professionals in providing essential transitional housing services for individuals struggling with mental health and/or substance use, as well as second stage transitional housing for women and their children. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring the delivery of high quality client services.

- Inspire and guide a team of professionals in delivering exceptional housing services
- Ensure services are provided in alignment with SSVP's mission, policies, and budget requirements.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and staff supervision to maintain high standards.
- Develop and implement high quality client services for second stage and transitional housing programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and community partners to enhance client satisfaction and achieve program goals.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to elevate the quality of services

**Our ideal Program Manager will bring the following**:

- Completion of a degree/diploma in Social Work, Human Services or related field, or a combination of related training or experience required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with vulnerable populations, including families.
- Supervisory experience leading a diverse team, of professionals.
- Working knowledge of Child and Family Community Services Act, Family Law Act, Residential Tenancy Agreement, Duty to Report, Harm Reduction, etc. required.
- Previous experience working within a housing environment considered an asset.
- Theoretical and working knowledge of cycles of violence and addiction, harm reduction, trauma-informed practice, anti-oppressive practice, and Housing First principles and practices.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check required.

- Strong knowledge and linkage to external services and systems available to women (and children) experiencing domestic violence, mental health and addictions, housing insecurity, financial literacy, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written with an ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner.
- Strong crisis management skills with an ability to think quickly and provide expert guidance in complex, critical, or irregular events.
- Highly organized and able to effectively manage and prioritize a multitude of tasks in a demanding environment while maintaining a positive attitude with an ability to be flexible and open to new ideas.
- Solid leadership and people management skills required with good motivational and collaborative emphasis; leads with purpose and passionate about developing a vibrant and healthy organizational culture.

**Additional Requirements**
- A criminal record check including a Ministry of Justice Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- May required some evening or weekend work. Participation in on-call rotation as required.
- This position requires working from multiple sites and requires a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
