Duties
- Provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings, including acute care, assisted living, and medical offices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including pain management and symptom control.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with case management and coordination of care for patients with complex needs.
- Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare needs.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- Experience in acute care, dementia care, hospice care, or other specialized areas is preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration and familiar with different routes of administration.
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and protocols.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and documentation requirements.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
