We are currently seeking highly professional and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in a variety of long term and acute care facilities in the Shelburne area.

This opportunity allows you to earn above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation.

Shifts would be early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.

Responsibilities

  • To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Ensure timely and accessible admission for residents including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered within the home.
  • Ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges for residents.
  • Ensure supply control and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

**Requirements**

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for MMRV and negative TB skin test within one year as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible shift times eight or twelve hours in length.
  • Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital depending on facility need.
  • Must be reliable once availability is given to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
  • Must comply with RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy provided upon hiring.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $80,000-$100,000 per year based on location and experience. Please note that this is an estimate and actual salaries may vary.
