**Position Description**:
The SickKids Payroll Team processes bi-weekly payroll for approximately 7,400 employees while maintaining the integrity of front-line client service policies and standards.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRMS and Payroll, the Payroll Representative is a member of the Payroll team and is responsible for:

- Day-to-day tracking and coordinating of the payroll’s inbox
- Assisting with the verification of payroll paperwork in peak periods;
- Processing of payroll time adjustments in peak periods;
- Following up on outstanding payroll issues and bring to resolution
- Assisting with Year End copies of tax forms
- Analyzing Payroll data as required

**Specific key responsibilities**:

- Maintain positive internal /external relationships. Assist with Payroll Inquiries and investigations.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to payroll in a timely manner.
- Adhere to payroll audit requirements related to verification.

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- Payroll experience and/or HR certification. 1-3 years a must.
- Experience in an Oracle PeopleSoft HRIS environment.
- Thorough understanding of end-to-end payroll, preferably in an Oracle PeopleSoft HRIS environment.
- Familiar with Service Canada and Canadian Payroll Association standards.
- Understanding of union and non-union work environments.
- Working knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client-service focus with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles, policies and legislation.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time and multi-task within the confines of multiple deadlines.
- Intermediate Excel skills
