Job Title: Filmmaker

META is a full service production and post production house with over 40 years of combined experience executing high level content and award winning production work. From nationally televised commercials to full scale campaign execution, our team thrives in strong story driven production work with beautiful cinematography supported by an in house start to finish production pipeline.

We are looking for a full-time committed and creative individual to work in all aspects of filmmaking.

Working with META you will be responsible for all aspects of the film - from ideations, creative writing of commercial and short story concepts to camera operating, grip & lighting, interviewing, data management and editing.

- An understanding of post-production software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe CC software
- Familiarity with all types of video production equipment and processes
- Ability to research and create engaging story lines
- Basic understanding of math and organizational skills
- Proficiency using Google, Microsoft and Vimeo
- Excellent time management skills and understanding of deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ever changing environment

Duties and responsibilities
- Concept ideas and storyboard projects that you will shoot and edit
- Focus on Producing, Directing and Cinematography during production.
- Make creative decisions regarding the editing of projects based on input from the client and ensure quality control and consistency upon delivery
- Carry out research and preparation for shoots, staying current with industry trends, developments, and new techniques

This is a full-time in-office position.

Working conditions
- 80% In office and 20% on location for shoots, a combination of indoors and outdoors

Physical requirements
- Ability and willingness to carry camera, camera equipment and lighting/grip equipment to location.

Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the industry with online viewable reels with outline of your role/involvement in each project (director, DP, editor, etc.)

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2R 0B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- video editing: 1 year (preferred)
