TELUS takes pride in supporting local communities and content creators through the CRTC funding. The TELUS Local Content team offers production grants, training, live streaming, and distribution opportunities to filmmakers and content creators in BC and Alberta. The team is dedicated to empowering underrepresented organizations, communities, and individuals to share their stories through programs like STORYHIVE and Community Content.

Impact and Achievements:

  • Support the evolution of STORYHIVE programs and develop community content initiatives.
  • Create annual content calendars and work with internal teams to execute plans.
  • Identify key markets and underrepresented communities to enhance community impact and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design the Community Programming strategy for the assigned territory.
  • Project manage STORYHIVE editions by designing applications, guidelines, and FAQs.
  • Represent STORYHIVE publicly, review applications, and manage deliverables and payments to creators.
  • Develop and support the curation of community-based social purpose stories.
  • Track performance metrics and ensure diverse content that is accessible to customers.
  • Create executive presentations and communications for Local Content.

  • Project management experience and collaborative skills.
  • Understanding of digital ecosystems, content strategy, and inclusive storytelling.
  • Passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Support for underrepresented communities.

Great-to-Haves:

  • Experience in equity and inclusion work.
  • Project management or production management experience.
  • Experience in strategy development and execution.
